In recent years, Ubisoft, which has been struggling to stay afloat and angering players with a series of poor decisions, is now back with unpleasant news for Assassin’s Creed Shadows. The renowned French gaming company announced that it has canceled the early access offer promised to those who pre-ordered the game.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows will launch for everyone on the same day

Ubisoft, which has recently been at the center of controversy with its decisions, has announced a significant change for its upcoming Assassin’s Creed Shadows. During a Q&A session on Discord, the company revealed that the early access feature promised to collector’s edition owners has been canceled.

Along with this change, the price of the Assassin’s Creed Shadows collector’s edition has been revised. Initially set at $280, it has now been reduced to $230. The collector’s edition will still offer physical items such as a steelbook, an art book, and a specially designed figurine, though Ubisoft has noted that some adjustments may be made to these items before the game’s release.

Additionally, there are rumors that a two-player co-op mode will be added to Assassin’s Creed Shadows. This mode is expected to allow players to control the game’s two main characters, Naoe and Yasuke, together. However, despite the game’s delay, it is still uncertain whether this feature will be ready by the release date.

Given Ubisoft’s recent struggles and controversial decisions, this change is likely to spark further debate within the gaming community. The company has also announced that it is abandoning plans for a season pass for Assassin’s Creed Shadows.
